The second stage of the Monaco Mont Ventoux 2019 challenge took place today over a distance of 154 km between the Château de Taulanne in the Alpes-Maritimes and Forcalquier in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
Feared by everyone, this marathon stage (the longest ever on the challenge) proved to be a transition stage, managed with courage and brilliance by all participants.
At the end of the stage, it is Francois CUORDIFEDE who was elected by the organization “the combative of the day”.
Tomorrow, the giant of Provence is looming on the horizon. After 80 km of approach, it will then climb the Ventoux by its mythical face (the hardest): that of Bédoin!
